About BC Vote Helper 2026
An independent quiz for the British Columbia provincial election on Saturday, October 24, 2026. Answer 16 short questions and see which party, and which candidate in your riding, is closest to your views.
What it does
- Finds your riding from your postal code, your location, or a list of all 93 ridings.
- Asks 13 province-wide questions and 3 about your region, at one of 5 reading levels.
- Shows how close each party is to your answers, then the candidates on your ballot.
- Up to 4 people can take turns or answer together.
- Works in 9 languages: English, Punjabi (ਪੰਜਾਬੀ), Simplified Chinese (简体中文), Traditional Chinese (繁體中文), Tagalog, French (français), Russian (русский), Korean (한국어), Farsi (فارسی).
How the matching works
Each option scores 0 (opposite) to 4 (match) for every party. Your match is the percentage of the maximum you could score. Important questions count more; skips and 'not sure' do not count. Questions where a party has no published position are left out of its score. Partly agreeing with everyone tends to favour centrist parties. Near ties show as close. Where record and words conflict, the record decides.
This tool is independent of all parties. It compares your answers with parties' promises and records. It is a starting point, not a recommendation. Parties were still announcing promises as of October 18, so check for updates. Party names and logos belong to the parties.
