About the riding
Delta South takes in Beach Grove, Boundary Bay, Ladner, Parkdale Gardens, Port Guichon, Tsawwassen, Tsawwassen Beach (Delta).
In 2024, Ian Paton (BC Conservatives) won here by 2,669 votes, 10.2 points.
Ian Paton (elected 2024 as a Conservative) left the Conservative caucus on August 24, 2026 and sat as an independent, joined CentreBC on September 18, and rejoined the Conservatives about four days later after the election call (Wikipedia, citing CBC and My Cariboo Now). Elections BC and conservativebc.ca list him as the Conservative candidate. bcballot.ca still describes him as an independent, which looks out of date.
