About the riding
Surrey South takes in Panorama Ridge, Crescent, Grandview Heights, Hazelmere, Douglas (southern Surrey, inside the City of Surrey; does not include White Rock).
In 2024, Brent Chapman (BC Conservatives) won here by 3,920 votes, 17.7 points.
MLA Brent Chapman (elected as Conservative) joined OneBC on Sept 22, 2026, the day the writ dropped, after his wife Kerry-Lynne Findlay resigned as Conservative leader. OneBC then said he would not run; his name is not on the final Elections BC list. No sitting MLA is on the ballot here. Elenore Sturko (CentreBC leader), who won the 2022 Surrey South by-election, is running here but was the MLA for Surrey-Cloverdale at dissolution.
